Chronic Pain

Our brain signals pain to let us know that something is wrong. Sometimes, that signal can become overly sensitive. The pain may remain after the original tissue damage is healed. Or the nervous system is signals danger in response to environmental triggers, stress, or even depression. In either case, the pain is real, but cannot be fixed through surgery and medication is only a temporary fix.
